Ashutosh Agnihotri is a creative and versatile personality with an elegant flair for writing. As a 1999 batch IAS officer, securing AIR 26, he currently serves as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) at the rank of Additional Secretary. Previously, he held the position of Additional Secretary in the Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs. He has also served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to the Government of India and as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam in various departments including Home Industries, Commerce, Transport, Sports, and Youth Welfare. Born on 11 March 1974 in Kanpur, he completed his MA in English Literature before joining the Indian Administrative Service. Additionally, he holds an MSc in Public Management and Governance from the prestigious London School of Economics. Throughout his career, Ashutosh Agnihotri has served as District Magistrate in several districts in Assam and has made significant contributions in various capacities within the Government of Assam. He possesses a keen awareness of his surroundings and an introspective nature. Ashutosh has authored several Hindi and English books, including 'Os Ki Thapki', 'Spandan', 'Colors of My Wall: Not with the Same Brush', 'Love, Life and Longing', and 'Piece of Mind: A Compilation of Random Thoughts, Looking at the Skies and Beyond', along with 'Kucch Adhure Shabd'.
